Educational Use & Medical Disclaimer

This section is important. Please read it.

PlanRN is an educational tool designed to help nursing students learn and practice the care planning process. It is not a clinical resource, not an electronic health record, and not a substitute for professional nursing judgment, clinical training, or licensed medical advice.

Care plans generated by PlanRN are for learning purposes only. Do not use PlanRN output in real clinical settings, with real patients, or as a basis for actual medical decisions. PlanRN makes no warranties regarding the clinical accuracy, completeness, or appropriateness of any generated content.

Do not enter real patient information, Protected Health Information (PHI), real names, real medical record numbers, or any other identifying patient data into PlanRN. The platform is not HIPAA-compliant and is not designed to handle real patient data.

PlanRN content is based on generally accepted nursing education principles in the United States and has not been customized for use in other countries or clinical contexts. Nursing standards, drug information, and clinical protocols change frequently — always verify current standards through authoritative sources.

Content & Ownership

Your Content

You own the care plan content you create in PlanRN. By using the service, you grant Praxis Re Nata a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and transmit your content solely as necessary to deliver the service to you. We do not use your individual care plan content to train AI models or for any purpose beyond operating PlanRN.

AI-Generated Output

Care plan content generated by PlanRN's AI system is produced collaboratively based on your inputs. Neither you nor Praxis Re Nata makes exclusive ownership claims over AI-generated output. You are free to use, export, and share care plans you create for personal educational purposes.

Aggregated Data

We may use anonymized, aggregated usage data — such as which care plan types are most common — to improve PlanRN. This data cannot be used to identify you individually and never includes your care plan content.
Billing

Subscription Plans

PlanRN offers Free, Pro Monthly, Pro Semester, and Pro Annual subscription tiers. Plan features and pricing are described at planrn.com. We reserve the right to modify pricing with reasonable notice.

Refunds

Refund requests submitted within 48 hours of purchase will be honored. After the 48-hour window, no refunds are issued for completed billing periods. You may cancel your subscription at any time and retain access through the end of your current billing period.

Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Upon cancellation, your account reverts to the Free tier at the end of the billing period. Care plans beyond the Free tier storage limit will remain accessible through the end of your paid period. After downgrade, you will be prompted to manage your storage to stay within Free tier limits.

Service Discontinuation

Praxis Re Nata may modify, suspend, or discontinue PlanRN at any time without notice. We are not liable for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the service.
Enforcement

Enforcement & Termination

Violations

If we believe you have violated these Terms, we will notify you by email describing the violation and give you an opportunity to respond before taking action. For severe violations — including automated abuse, commercial resale of content, or entering real patient data — we reserve the right to suspend access immediately.

Account Suspension & Termination

Praxis Re Nata reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Suspended accounts may appeal by contacting hello@planrn.com. We will respond to appeals within 5 business days.

Upon termination, your right to access PlanRN ends immediately. You may export your care plans before termination if you are given advance notice.

Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

No Warranty

PlanRN is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind. Praxis Re Nata expressly disclaims all warranties, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated content will be clinically accurate or complete.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Praxis Re Nata shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, or harm arising from your use of or inability to use PlanRN, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory under which such damages are claimed.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Praxis Re Nata and its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from your use of PlanRN, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

Privacy & Legal

Privacy

Your use of PlanRN is also governed by our Privacy Policy at planrn.com/privacy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By agreeing to these Terms, you also agree to the Privacy Policy.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top and notify you via in-app notice on your next login. Continued use of PlanRN after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

Acquisition or Sale

In the event that Praxis Re Nata is acquired, merged, or sold, your data may be transferred to the acquiring entity as part of that transaction. We will notify you by email if such a transfer occurs, and the new entity will be bound by these Terms with respect to your data.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of PlanRN shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in North Carolina, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
